Independent Living Services

Independent Living Services are designed to provide social service support and developmental assistance services to help individuals live in the community. The focus of these community living programs is assisting people to have homes in the community that are truly their own.

Residential Habilitation and Support

Provides support when one-time, short-term or on-going assistance to meet daily living needs and ensure adequate functioning at home and in the community. Overseeing skills such as:
- Pedestrian safety
- Money management
- Fitness goals
- Community integration
- Self-care
- Personal hygiene
- Communication goals

Adult Foster Care

AFC is a service that provides residential support to adults with disabilities who live in the community.

AFC offers a home-like, family environment to adults with a developmental disability.

The householder provides the individual with an environment that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages the development of positive social roles and feelings of self-worth as well as skill building opportunities.

Residential Habilitation Support Services

Includes teaching specific living skills such as:
- Managing money
- Learning the bus route
- Finding enjoyable leisure activities
- Finding a place to live
- Doing laundry
- Developing social skills
- Managing time
- Caring for the home
- SHopping for food and cooking

Other Services

We also provide:
- Individual Education Plan meetings
- Person Centered Planning
- Help with management of budgets
- Service coordination
- Transitional planning
