Community Support Coordinator - Southern Indiana
Energetic, mission driven social service agency is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated, Community Support Coordinator for programs that provide support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in the Southern region of Indiana (Bloomington, Martinsville, Columbus). This full-time, benefited position is primarily responsible for supporting individuals that live in their own homes to become valued members of their community through skill building and the development of natural supports.
Candidate must have prior experience with community based service programs. Other essential skills are a good understanding of public relationship management, be able to confidently work with individuals with limited communication and community living skills and be able to advocate and support them in a positive manner. Additional duties include management of agency documentation and the organization/processing of service verification documentation. Strong organizational capabilities and flexible schedule a must and need to have the ability to self-direct. An understanding and experience in non-profit agencies and experience with the principles of Social Role Valorization a plus.
